The Nashville School of Historical Fencing was founded in 2015 and is the largest school of HEMA in the Mid-South area -committed to the goal of fostering the growth of historical european martial arts in the region through classes, workshops and tournaments. Led by experienced high level instructors and coaches, NSHF takes a strong pedagogical approach to the study of HEMA, implementing both historical and modern training methodologies with a strong emphasis on the physical culture that historical swordsmanship demands. Enrollment/recruitment for new students opens up 2x per year, typically in the Spring and Fall. The study of HEMA is rapidly growing and NSHF is a thriving school and community dedicated to reviving the art of the sword. Join us and be part of the revival of traditional European martial arts, a unique and rewarding pursuit, blending the study of history with self development, martial art, fitness and combat sport.
